The ground form of this Spice is also known as "All Spice" because it has a rich aroma, similar to an aromatic Spice blend. Ground Pimento is actually the dried berries from the pimenta dioica plant and it is used in Middle Eastern dishes and some Cakes and Biscuits such as Gingerbread.
